Can you use any kind of lighter fluid for a zippo lighter?

My grandma gave me my grandpas old zippo lighter from the 70s or 80s. Do you have to use zippo lighter fluid or can you use any? And are there any precautions to take since it hasnt been used in like 20 years. It still makes a spark. And how do you fill it.|||You'll find everything you need to know on the Zippo website. To fill it, hold the outer case in one hand and the cooling grille in the other and pull. Lighter fluid is added to the white fluffy stuff inside until it is wet (not full!)





Use any brand of lighter fluid and nothing else. It is safer and using other things can make the flame stink and smoky.





Precautions: fill it and try it outside, not indoors!
