Is it normal that my Zippo smells a lot like lighter fluid?

I bought myself a nice Zippo lighter yesterday. But I couldn't find any Zippo lighter fluid, so I just bought some no-name brand and used that. It works fine, but whenever I open my Zippo, it smells an awful lot like the lighter fluid... Is that normal?





Thanks!|||They always tend to smell a little, they use up fluid very fast which may be why you recognise the smell for.|||It's normal. Make sure to not overflow lighter with fluid.|||yeah it's a lighter, and as long as it lights, you need not buy Zippo fluid.|||Mine smells like diesel fuel.
