How can I get a Zippo without my parents knowing?

I'm only 12 years old. My parents disprove smoking and my dad doesn't like anything to do with smoking or illegal things (like burning your own fire in your back yard or taking fruit from a tree that has an over abundant supply). So he's going to say no if my Mom got me a Zippo because she'd tell my dad. I don't smoke illegaly, never will. And I just want it for the American pride, but my parents won't understand. How can I get a Zippo?|||A Zippo is a brand of lighter. Just have someone take you down the local gas station (or ride your bike there) and buy a Zippo lighter. The gas station attendants aren't going to care how old you are - they CAN sell you a lighter (obviously they CAN'T sell you cigarettes). Most gas stations should have them. If your local one doesn't, find the closest place that does and have someone drive you there. Find an older teen around you who has a car and doesn't mind taking you. Ask nicely!|||You should be able to buy a lighter yourself. The age requirement only applies to the cigarettes themselves, not the lighter. On the other hand, you have to be 18 in some states to buy the fluid. If there is an empty Zippo for sale without the fluid, it should be legal. You can tell the cashier, if they ask, that you are buying it as a gift for a relative. As for your parents, if they find it, as long as you never plan on filling it with lighter fluid, maybe you can persuade them to let you keep it if you never get it filled.|||Smoking tobacco is not the answer youngen your parents are right. You should listen to them they been around awhile.





I suffered Head and neck cancer from smoking so don't start smoking it can kill you or damage your body.





Go to a cancer unit and see what goes on ask to be showed around the cancer unit. Because if you smoke you could end up just like all those people and cancer treatments suck. I took 42 treatments of radiation and 3 treatments of chemo





So please don't smoke and ex smoker and a Cancer survivor I am.|||its easy. all you have to do is ride your bike down to the local convenience store, by the lighter and say its for your dads birthday,and go home and hide it in your garage or attic or something. ; ) just do it|||You can get a zippo by waiting until you're 18. Jeepers, life is not about getting away with things. Just the fact that you want it even though they don't want you to have it, proves you're too young for it.

To be prepared for him catching you with just remove the wick. No wick no fuel no trouble. Its still a Zippo just nonworking.





Scott|||16 year olds can buy lighters so find a friend or get one that is that old and have them buy it for you.|||um...lol what is a zippo? it sounds funny.....but not if it has to do with smoking, which im guessing it does. dont smoke please.
