How long does zippo lighter fluid last in a can that's been opened, but is now closed?|||I have two different containers of lighter fluid for zippo lighters. One is a plastic container, and the other is one of the metal ones. I've had both for over 4 years and they are still as full as the last time they were used.
Each time you open one of them to fill the lighter, there may be some evaporation, but my husband and I both use these types of lighters most of the time, and our fluid supplies are still going strong.
What we seem to go through the most are the flints for the lighters.
Good luck with your own Lighter and the fluid. Just remember to re-seal the container every time you use it.
