How do I replace lighter fluid in a zippo?|||The underside of the lighter is a dense felt pad. On one side is a brass screw, which holds both the pad and the flint in place. To fill the lighter with fluid, pry the pad up with a flat object or pull some loose threads with your fingertips. You'll be able to see cotton underneath and possibly the end of the wick. Pour in lighter fluid until the cotton turns dark. If you overfill, the fluid can spill out.





Remove the inside unit from the case. Lift the corner of the felt pad on the bottom of the insert to reveal the packing material in the fuel chamber. Saturate the packing with Zippo lighter fluid. Fill slowly, taking care to never overfill. Avoid getting the lighter fluid on your skin as it can be a skin irritant. If contact with skin does occur, wash the effected area with mild soap and water.





Insert the inside unit back into the case, making sure to wipe the lighter and your hands dry before igniting. Be sure the fuel can is closed and there is no spilled fuel in the vicinity before igniting. This is a flammable fluid. If the Zippo lighter is kept in your pocket, Zippo suggests that it be placed bottom down, especially when first re-fueled.|||You're kidding right! Remove the center container turn it over and soak the cotton filling with zippo lighter fluid until it's completely swollen. Replace the center and wait a minute before trying to light. Let the excess evaporate or you'll light the entire lighter on fire. Sometimes it takes a minute for the fluid to reach the wick, so be patient a moment.|||Pull the lighter out of it's case and squirt fluid on the cotton.


Replace the Lighter into the case.|||give the lighter to someone older! you are too young and/or stupid to be smoking!|||you can buy the fluid at a convenient store|||go to the local 99 cents store. it looks like an air freshner can full of it! like 50 fills at least. its really cool, when you fill it completely the flame goes up to anch and a half!a green flame. i totall recommend it. just ask the people whjo work there its only a dollar.|||open the lid. take apart the 2 pieces. lift up the foam and squirt fluid in it. put it back together|||pull the lighter mechanism out of the metal casing, lift the felt cover and pour in fluid, replace metal casing while holding the mechanism upside down|||dude, be careful to not overfill it. if you do, when you put it in your pocket, the excess fluid will leak through your pants and start burnin your skin....you can store extra flints down where you put the fluid in
