I bought my Zippo lighters at a shop who sold them cheaper than the average retail price here. The shopkeeper 'guarantee' the lighters to be genuine, but my friends keep telling me that it's a fake. It works perfectly though, the 'click' is crisp, and it ignites at first 'zip'. So can anybody tell me how to check the authenticity of my lighter?
Thanx in advance.|||check the bottom of the lighter case for roman numerals, that will tell what year it was made. slide the lighter out and it should say zippo on the side.|||Does it say ZIPPO on the bottom? All Caps?
does it have "stripes"? which oddly enough may look like "V" and "X"...?
